About this ecorse gift
Ecorse is a small city just southwest of Detroit, and the people who grew up there or moved away carry it with them in a way that's easy to overlook from outside. A shirt with Ecorse on it is how a former resident says where they're from without a long explanation, whether that's at a family reunion, a Detroit-area game or a new job in another state. The gift lands best when it feels like it knows the place. Add a second line with a street, a neighborhood, a school or the year they left, and it stops being a generic souvenir and becomes their story. For someone who's still there, a hoodie for the cold months or a mug for the morning routine makes the everyday easier. For someone who moved away, a shirt that says Ecorse is a small way to come home.
