About this esparto gift
Esparto is a small town in the Yolo County area of California's Central Valley, a farming place where people tend to stay put and know their neighbors. Someone who grew up there often carries the town with them, whether they've moved to the Bay Area or a city on the other side of the country. A shirt or mug with the town's name is a way to say where they're from without a long explanation. Because a place like Esparto is small, most people who see the design will be from there too, which makes it a conversation starter. For a homesick transplant, a mug with the town name is a quiet daily reminder of home. For someone who still lives there, a hoodie for the chilly mornings in the valley is a practical gift with a bit of pride attached. You can add a second line such as a year, a graduation class or a street name to make it more personal.
