About this fort yates gift
Fort Yates is a small town on the Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota, and the people who live there or come back to it carry it with them. A shirt with the town name is a way of saying where you're from when you're far away, or wearing your roots to a family reunion, a powwow or a homecoming. Because the town is small, a gift like this lands best when it's personal: add a family name, a year, or a line that matters to the person, since a plain town shirt can look like a souvenir. Many designs have a second line, so you can put a name or year underneath. Hoodies suit the cold months, mugs suit the kitchen table where everyone gathers, and kids tees and onesies let you pass the name down to the next generation.
