About this kennewick gift
Kennewick is a city in the Tri-Cities area of south-central Washington, sitting on the Columbia River where it meets the Yakima and Snake rivers. People who grew up there, or who have spent years working in the region, carry that river-and-desert landscape with them. A shirt with Kennewick on it is a way to claim the place, whether they're a lifelong resident, a transplant from the other side of the state, or someone who moved away and still gets homesick for the big sky and the water. Because Kennewick is one of three cities in its metro area, many people think of themselves as Tri-Citians first, so a design that acknowledges the wider area can land well. A mug suits the person who wants a daily reminder of home, a hoodie works for chilly river evenings, and a kids tee lets a family show where the little ones are from. Adding a year or a neighborhood on the second line makes the piece feel personal rather than generic.
