About this new bedford gift
New Bedford people have a strong attachment to their harbor city, the one that built its fortunes on whaling ships and still has a working fishing fleet at the waterfront. A shirt with New Bedford on it is how they show that pride, whether they're heading to the harbor walk on a summer weekend or spending a long winter far from the coast. Because the city is a place people tend to leave and come back to, a hoodie for the one who moved away carries a lot of meaning. A mug works well for the kitchen of someone who misses the water and the local fish market. Add a neighborhood or the year they moved away on the second line to make the gift feel like theirs. Even a simple New Bedford tee can say a lot when it's worn by someone who grew up watching the boats come in.
