About this tosa gift
A Tosa is a Tosa Inu, the large Japanese fighting-type dog bred for dogfighting in the early twentieth century and now kept mostly as a calm, dignified family companion. Owners tend to talk about them as serious, loyal and a little aloof with strangers, with a deep affection for their own people. A gift for a Tosa owner should respect that sense of quiet devotion rather than gush. A shirt with the breed name and a line for the dog's own name feels like something they'd actually wear to the dog park or on a walk. A mug suits the owner who works from home with a dog stretched out under the desk. For a new puppy, a baby onesie or kids tee lets a family show off the breed early. Dark shirts often suit a dog person's everyday wardrobe better than bright ones, since fur and mud are part of the territory.
