About this general managers gift
General managers run the whole building: they answer for the P&L, the staffing schedule, the vendor that shorted the delivery, and the customer who wants a manager right now. Most of their week happens between meetings, so the gifts they keep tend to be the ones that make the long days a little easier to walk into. A soft tee for the drive in, a hoodie for the cold walk-through of the back office, or a mug that's clearly theirs so it doesn't end up on a shelf in the break room. Put their title on it, General Manager or GM, and add the store, restaurant or location they run, then it's theirs rather than a generic work shirt. If you're buying for a whole management team, one design with each person's name on their own shirt is a better way to say thanks than another round of lunch. Many GMs also get a moment of recognition around the time of their anniversary with the company, so plan a few weeks ahead if you want it on time.
