About this information operator gift
An information operator is the calm voice on the other end of the line, the person who answers when someone calls about a number, a route, a directory listing or a question nobody else knows. Most of the work happens in a headset, through long shifts of short calls, so a gift for them should be something they'll actually wear or use while the phone keeps ringing. A soft tee for a day off, a hoodie for the chilly break room, or a mug that's clearly theirs so it doesn't wander off during a busy stretch. Putting their job title on it is a good start, and adding their department, team or years of service makes it personal. If you're shopping for a whole team, one design with each person's name on their own shirt is a better way to say thanks than a sheet cake nobody has time to eat.
