About this stokes gift
Stokes is a family name, and it's also a place name in a few parts of the country, which gives the word a little more to work with than most surnames. For the people who carry it, a shirt or mug with the name on it is a quiet bit of pride, the kind that gets pulled out for a reunion, a family photo or a first day of school. Stokes families tend to be spread out, so a shared design is one of the few things that brings everyone into the same picture. Add a second line for a first name, a birth year or a family branch, and the gift starts to belong to one person in particular. Kids tees and baby onesies make it a three-generation piece, the kind a grandparent can order for the whole line. Hoodies suit the teenager or college student who's heading out on their own and wants something that still says where they're from. Mugs work for the kitchen table where the family ends up anyway.
