Picking a gift for an academic counselor
Academic counselors spend their days in the in-between moments of other people's lives: the student who's panicking about a schedule, the senior who just realized they're short a credit, the first-gen kid who doesn't know what office hours are. It's work that rarely gets a thank-you card, which makes a gift that says you noticed it count for more. Think practical and wearable, something that fits a campus office, a cardigan-and-sneakers kind of day, or a long stretch of registration weeks. Put their name on it, or the thing they'd actually say out loud: Academic Counselor, Class of 2025, Go Ask Your Counselor. If you're a student, a parent, or a department head thanking them, one line of your own text turns a generic profession tee into something they'll keep on the office hook. For a whole advising team, the Team Shop gets everyone matching shirts without a size-chart spreadsheet. School Counselor Appreciation Week is in early February, which is a good time to order.
Academic Counselor gift questions
Can I put a student's thank-you message on the gift?
Many designs have a second line you can fill with a short message, a graduation year, or the school's name in plain text. Type it in and the preview shows you how it fits.
Is an academic counselor the same as a school counselor?
They overlap but aren't identical. Academic counselors usually focus on course planning, degree progress and graduation, often at a college. Check how they describe their own role and use that wording on the design.
When is School Counselor Appreciation Week?
National School Counseling Week is held in the first full week of February each year. It's a natural moment to thank a counselor, so order a few weeks ahead.
Can I order a gift from a whole class or department?
Yes. The Team Shop lets you pick one design, paste a list of names and choose a size per person. It works well for a graduating class or an advising department chipping in together.
What sizes do the academic counselor shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an academic counselor gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
