Picking a gift for an academic intern
An academic intern is usually a student or recent grad working a semester or summer inside a lab, a department, a research group or an office, learning the work by doing it. Their days mix early mornings, a stack of reading, and small tasks that matter more than they look. A gift that acknowledges that stretch of hard work and new beginnings tends to land well. Put their role on a tee for the drive to the building, a hoodie for the cold lab or the first winter of classes, or a mug for the coffee that gets them through the morning. Add their field or their program year on a second line, like Biology or Summer 2025, so the shirt reflects the work they're actually doing. If you're buying for a whole cohort, one design in the Team Shop with each intern's name on their own shirt makes a thoughtful send-off at the end of the term.
Academic Intern gift questions
Can I add their field or program to the shirt?
Yes. Most designs have a second line for a field, a department or a year. Type it in and the preview updates so you can check the spacing before you order.
Is an academic intern gift a good end-of-term present?
It works well at the close of a summer or semester internship, when the work is finished and it's worth marking. A hoodie or mug with their name and the term is an easy way to mark it.
Can I order for a whole intern group?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What if the intern is still in school?
Many interns are undergraduates or grad students. You can put their program year or school year on the design, so the gift reflects where they are right now.
What sizes do the academic intern shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an academic intern gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
