Gifts from Adolphus
Adolphus is a city in Texas, though the name comes from a person rather than a place, which is a good starting point. Adolphus is also a family name and a first name with a long history, so a shopper should think about which Adolphus they have in mind. For a resident of the town, a shirt is a hometown badge worn to local events, school games and the weekend errands that make a place feel like home. For someone who moved away or grew up there, a mug or hoodie carries the memory of the place. Because the word refers to a city, the designs can often pair the name with a second line, such as a year, a street or a nickname. If you know the person's connection to Adolphus, put it on the shirt; that detail is what turns a souvenir into their own piece.
