Picking a gift for an air traffic controller
Air traffic controllers spend their shifts staring at a scope or out a tower window, keeping dozens of aircraft apart while sounding calm on the radio. It's a job where focus is everything and the schedule is rarely kind, with rotating shifts, early mornings and overnights. Most of them also have a dry sense of humor about all of it, so the gifts that land are the ones that wink at the work. Put their facility on the shirt, whether that's a tower, a TRACON or a center, or add a call sign or a nickname from the floor. A hoodie suits a chilly tower cab or the drive home after a midnight shift, and a mug with their name on it keeps their coffee from vanishing in a shared break room. If you're buying for a whole crew, the Team Shop lets you print one design with each controller's name on their own shirt.
Air Traffic Controller gift questions
Can I put a facility name or identifier on the shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can type a tower name, a center, or a short identifier there. The preview updates as you type, so you can check the spacing before you order.
Can I add a call sign or nickname?
Yes. Type it into the text box in place of or alongside their name. Controllers often have a nickname from the floor, and that tends to be the detail that gets the biggest reaction.
Is there a good gift for a controller who just finished training?
A hoodie or tee with their name and the year they certified marks a milestone they worked hard for. A mug with their name is a smaller option they'll use at work every day.
Can I order for a whole tower or control room?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: pick one design, paste a list of names, and choose a size for each person. Every shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the air traffic controller shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an air traffic controller gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
