Gifts from Allegheny
Allegheny is the county and river valley around Pittsburgh, and the people who grew up there tend to say the name with a certain pride. A shirt with Allegheny on it is how someone who left the valley for college, a job or a new life in another state keeps a piece of home on their sleeve. It also suits people who never left, the ones who still drive the same roads, know which bridges flood and have opinions about the rivers. The name works well on a hoodie for cold winter walks or a mug for a kitchen that still looks out toward the hills. Because Allegheny is a place name with a lot of local meaning, the strongest gifts pair the word with something from the recipient's own life, like their neighborhood, their high school or the year they moved back. Type that into the second line and the design becomes theirs rather than a generic souvenir.
Allegheny gift questions
Is Allegheny a city or a county?
Allegheny is best known as the county around Pittsburgh and as the name of the river that runs through it. Many of the designs use the name alone, so you can choose the wording that fits the person best.
Can I add a neighborhood or town under Allegheny?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a place, year or other detail. Type the neighborhood or town there and check the preview before you order.
What's a good gift for someone who moved away from the area?
A hoodie or mug works well. They keep the name close without being sentimental, and they're useful in a new home.
What sizes do the allegheny shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an Allegheny gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
