Picking a gift for an appalachian dulcimer player
Appalachian dulcimer players tend to be a patient, close-knit bunch. The instrument sits on the lap, gets played at kitchen tables and jam circles, and often travels in a case that's seen a lot of porches. Many of them play traditional ballads and old-time tunes, and a lot of them found the dulcimer through a family member or a friend who handed them one and said, try this. So the gifts that land are the ones that feel like part of that world: quiet, handmade-adjacent, a little folksy, and clearly meant for them. A tee or hoodie that says Appalachian dulcimer player on the front already gets a nod at a festival. Make it theirs by adding their name, the name of their jam group, or the year they started playing. If you're buying for a whole circle or a class, the Team Shop prints one design with each person's name on their own shirt.
Appalachian Dulcimer Player gift questions
Can I change the wording to something shorter, like just dulcimer?
Yes. Type any wording into the text box and the preview updates right away, so you can try Dulcimer Player, Dulcimer Picker or the full Appalachian dulcimer player and see which fits best.
What can I put on the second line?
Many designs have a second line for a name, a year, a group name or a town. Some people add the year they started playing or the name of their local dulcimer club.
Are there designs for kids who are learning the dulcimer?
Yes. There are kids tees in light and dark colors, so a young player in the family can have a shirt that matches a parent's or teacher's.
Can I order matching shirts for a dulcimer class or club?
Yes. In the Team Shop you choose one design, paste the list of names and pick a size for each person. Every shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the appalachian dulcimer player shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an appalachian dulcimer player gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
