Picking a gift for an author agent
A literary agent spends her days reading queries, pitching manuscripts to editors and talking authors off ledges at two in the morning, and the work is mostly quiet persistence. The gifts that land tend to be the ones that acknowledge the grind: a tee for the book-fair weekend, a hoodie for the long stretch of reading submissions, a mug for the first coffee before the inbox opens. A shirt that says author agent tells the people in her life exactly what she does, which is a small pleasure for someone who explains her job at every dinner party. You can make it hers by adding the agency name or a second line with the year she started representing clients. Many agents like something understated, so a dark tee or a plain mug often fits better than anything loud.
Author Agent gift questions
Can I add her agency name or a year to the design?
Many designs have a second line for extra text. Type the agency name or the year she started in the text box, and the preview will show you how it fits.
Is there a version for a literary agent who is also an author?
Designs use the title you type, so you can pick the author agent design and add a second line if you want to mention her writing too.
Which product works best for someone who works mostly at home?
A mug or a hoodie tends to get the most use, since she'll reach for them during long hours at a desk.
What sizes do the author agent shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does an author agent gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
