Gifts from Berrien Springs
Berrien Springs is a small village in Berrien County in southwest Michigan, a place where people tend to stay put and feel a strong pull toward home. Someone who grew up there, or who spent summers near the river, usually has a story tied to the town, and that's what makes a gift land. A tee or hoodie with the village name is how they show where they're from when they're away at school, at work in a bigger city, or just running errands out of town. For the person who has moved on, a mug with Berrien Springs on it is a small daily reminder of home. You can add a second line for a street, a school class year, a family name or a year they lived there, so the shirt says something only the two of you would understand. Because the town is small, a personal detail like that usually means more than a generic souvenir would.
