Gifts from Bois D Arc
Bois d'Arc is a place name with a tree behind it. The osage orange grows across Texas and Oklahoma, and people who grew up around it tend to hold onto the name, whether they still live in the area or have moved on to somewhere far away. A shirt or mug with the town name on it works as a hometown marker, the kind of thing a person wears to the high school reunion or drinks coffee from on the first cold morning after a move. For someone who's left, it says where they come from without a long explanation. If you're not sure how much the name means to them, ask a family member about the area first, since the story will shape which product feels right. A tee suits everyday wear, a hoodie suits the cold months, and a mug suits the desk or kitchen where they start the day. Add a second line with their graduation year or a family name and the design becomes personal rather than generic.
