Picking a gift for a bookie
A bookie takes bets on games, races and whatever else people want to wager on, and the job runs on odds, relationships and a lot of late-night phone calls. Whether they work from a shop, a card room or a laptop, they tend to be the one people count on to take a number and keep it quiet. A bookie gift should lean into that: a tee for the weekend, a hoodie for the long nights tracking lines, or a mug that's clearly theirs for the first coffee before the board opens. Use the word itself as the main line and add a second line only if it fits their world, like their shop name or the sport they cover. The gift lands when it's a little bit funny and plainly meant for someone who knows the work, so keep the design simple and let the word do the talking.
Bookie gift questions
Can I add a shop name or sport under bookie?
Many designs have a second line. Type the shop name, the sport they cover or their first name there, and the preview will update so you can check the spacing.
Is this a good gift for someone who just started taking bets?
Yes. It's a light, friendly gift that marks the new job without making a big deal of it, and a mug is a practical choice for the early mornings.
Are there designs for the whole crew?
Yes. Use the Team Shop to choose one design, paste the names of everyone on the crew and pick a size for each person.
Can I get a bookie design for a kid?
Yes. There are kids tees and dark kids tees for this word, so you can find one in the size you need.
What sizes do the bookie shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a bookie gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
Bookie gift ideas
- A tee for the weekendA bookie tee is an easy pick for someone who lives on game days and spends most of their time looking at the board.
- A hoodie for the long nightsOdds don't stop at closing time, so a warm hoodie suits the late-night line checks and the early-morning settlements.
- A mug for the first coffeeAn 11 oz mug with their job on it is the first thing they reach for before the phones start ringing.
- A kids tee for the family jokeIf the bookie has young kids, a kids tee with the word makes a funny family photo at the next game.
