Gifts from Bowdle
Bowdle is a small town in South Dakota, the kind of place where everybody knows whose truck is parked outside the post office. Someone who grew up there, or who still calls it home, will notice a shirt with the town name on it right away and feel a little seen. Small towns run on pride and on people leaving and coming back, so a Bowdle shirt works as a homecoming gift, a reminder for the one who moved to Sioux Falls or Denver, or a simple way to show you're proud of where someone is from. A hoodie suits the cold months, when the wind comes across the prairie. A mug fits the kitchen table where the coffee gets poured before the sun is up. Add a graduation year or a family name on the second line and the shirt starts to belong to one particular person.
