Gifts from Bucksport
Bucksport is a small town on the Penobscot River in Maine, and people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. A Bucksport shirt is how they claim the place wherever they end up, whether that's a dorm in Orono, a job out of state or a long-overdue trip home for the summer. Small towns have their own rhythm of getting together, so a shirt works well for a family reunion, a class reunion or the crew that comes back every August. What makes a gift for a Bucksport person land is the local touch: a second line with the years they lived there, their graduating class, or the street they grew up on. A hoodie suits the cold Maine mornings, and a mug fits the kitchen where they still take their coffee. Because the place name is the whole design, the personal line underneath is what makes it theirs.
