Gifts from Capitola
Capitola is a small beach town on the Central Coast of California, tucked near Santa Cruz, known for its colorful seaside houses and the sandy cove where locals gather in summer. People who grew up there, or who spend their weekends in town, tend to carry it with them, and a shirt with the name is an easy way to say where home is. It's a place people visit on day trips and return to every year, so a tee or hoodie makes a fitting souvenir for anyone who has a favorite beach there. For the person who has moved away and misses the salt air and the fog, a mug printed with Capitola is the morning reminder of where they're from. Add a year or a street they lived on in the second line, and the gift becomes specifically theirs rather than a generic beach-town shirt.
