Gifts from Carmi
Carmi is a small city in southeastern Illinois, the kind of place where people tend to stay close to home or come back after college. A shirt with Carmi on it says you're from somewhere specific, not just from Illinois. For a local, it's something to wear to the county fair, a family reunion or a homecoming game without having to explain where it is. For someone who moved away, a Carmi mug on the kitchen counter is a quiet reminder of the place they grew up. Because the word is short and the designs are simple, the second line does most of the work: add a year, a family name or the street they lived on, and the shirt becomes a story only they will fully recognize. A kids tee or onesie works well for a child whose grandparents or parents still live in town, and a hoodie is a practical choice for a cold Illinois winter.
