Cassowary gifts for the people who love them
A cassowary is a flightless bird from the rainforests of northern Queensland and New Guinea, and it is one of the few animals that can look genuinely dangerous while being completely unbothered by you. People who love them tend to love the odd details: the bare blue-and-red head, the helmet-like casque on top, the way they stalk through the undergrowth. A cassowary shirt suits a zookeeper, a birder, a wildlife volunteer or anyone who has seen one in person and never quite gotten over it. Lean into the specifics. A casque-and-bird design on a dark tee reads better on a hike than a generic bird print, and a mug on the desk of someone who studies birds gets noticed. If the person is a fan of big, odd creatures, a hoodie with the bird on it works for cold mornings at the aviary. Type the word exactly as you'd want it printed, and add a second line with a species name or a place if that fits them.
