Gifts from Cedar Island
Cedar Island is a place people carry with them, whether they still live there or left years ago. A shirt with the island's name is how they claim it at a family reunion, a summer trip, or a reunion with old friends who knew them back when. Because it's a smaller place, the name alone can start a conversation: someone will ask where it is, and that's the point. The people who love it most often want something quieter than a souvenir-shop tee, and a plain design in a soft color works well for everyday wear. For the one who moved away, a mug on the kitchen counter means the island is still part of the morning. Add a year, a family name, or the year they first went out there, and the gift starts to feel like theirs rather than a generic place name.
