Picking a gift for a certified occupational therapy assistant
Certified occupational therapy assistants spend their days helping people relearn the ordinary parts of life: buttoning a shirt, getting to the kitchen sink, going back to work after an injury. They work under an occupational therapist, which means they're often the one in the room for the long, patient sessions where progress is slow and small. A gift that acknowledges that work lands better than a generic therapy joke. A tee or hoodie with their credential, COTA, on the front says they earned it. Add their setting underneath, such as pediatrics, hand therapy, skilled nursing or home health, and it becomes specific to their day. The 11 oz mug suits the clinic break room, where a lot of the real conversations happen. If you're buying for a whole department, the Team Shop can print one design with each person's name on their own shirt.
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant gift questions
What does COTA stand for?
COTA stands for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, the credential earned after completing an accredited program and passing the national certification exam. Use the abbreviation on a design if they use it at work.
Can I add their setting or specialty to the shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a workplace, unit or specialty such as pediatrics or hand therapy. Type it in and check the preview before ordering.
Is this a good gift for a new OTA graduate?
Often, yes. A hoodie or mug with their credential and graduation year marks a real milestone, especially after the exam and licensing steps that follow school.
Can I order shirts for my whole therapy team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the certified occupational therapy assistant shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a certified occupational therapy assistant gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
