Gifts from Ceylon
Ceylon is the old name for Sri Lanka, and people who use it tend to mean it. It's the name on the tea tin, the name in the family stories about grandparents who left the island, and the name that sounds a little more personal than the official one. A Ceylon shirt or mug is a way of saying where you come from without having to explain the history first. It also suits anyone who loves the island's tea, its spices or its food, which carry the name in a lot of kitchens and shops. If the recipient is Sri Lankan or of Sri Lankan descent, a shirt with Ceylon on it can be a quiet nod to a place that's still home to them. For someone who just loves the tea, a mug with the word on it fits the morning routine. Add a year or a city from the family's past in the second line to make it theirs.
Ceylon gift questions
Is Ceylon the same as Sri Lanka?
Ceylon was the name the island was known by during the colonial period and it is still used today, especially for the tea and in some family and cultural contexts. Many people from the island use both names, so Ceylon is a good choice if the recipient identifies with it.
Can I add a hometown or year under Ceylon?
Many designs have a second line. Type the town, the year or a family name there and the preview will update so you can check the placement.
What's a good Ceylon gift for someone who loves tea?
An 11oz mug is the most natural pick, since it gets used every day. A tee or hoodie works well too for someone who wears their interests.
What sizes do the ceylon shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a Ceylon gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
