Gifts from Cheyenne Mtn Afb
Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Base sits inside a mountain outside Colorado Springs, and the people who work there know the place as a particular kind of home: a tunnel complex, a shift schedule that doesn't match anybody else's, and a community where everyone knows someone who's deployed. A shirt or mug with the base name on it is how they carry that identity into the rest of their life, whether they're still stationed there or have moved on. Add the name of their unit, their squadron, or the years they served to make it theirs. Spouses and kids who grew up on the base often want the same thing, a way to claim a place that shaped them. For a retiree or a former airman, a hoodie or mug with the base name and their service years is a gift that lands the first time they see it.
