Gifts from China Lake Nwc
China Lake NWC is short for Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, a large Navy installation in the Mojave Desert of California, where a lot of the work involves weapons testing and research on open desert ranges. People who have worked or lived there tend to feel a strong attachment to the place, partly because it is remote and the community is close. A shirt or hoodie with China Lake NWC on it is a quick way to say that you know where they've been. For a person who spent years on base, a mug with the name is an everyday reminder of that time. If you're buying for someone who is still stationed there or has moved on, you can add a year, a job title or their own name on a second line so the design reflects their service rather than just the location.
