Gifts from Chinle
Chinle is a small town in northeastern Arizona, on the edge of Canyon de Chelly, and the people who call it home often carry it with them wherever they go. A Chinle shirt is a way of saying where you're from when the question comes up at a new job or a college dorm. Many people from Chinle are proud of the canyon and the wide red landscape around it, and a design with the town name on it tends to start conversations with others who know the area. For someone who has moved away, a mug with Chinle on it works as a morning reminder of home. For a family, matching tees or hoodies make a good way to show where the group belongs. Because this is a small place, you may know details about the person that make the gift more personal, like a school class, a family name or a year. Add that in the second line of the design and the gift becomes theirs.
