Chinook gifts for the people who love them
Chinook means a few different things, and the person you're shopping for probably has one in mind. It's a rare sled dog breed that came out of New Hampshire, and Chinook owners tend to be devoted to a dog most people have never met. It's also a Pacific Northwest salmon, the kind anglers talk about in a lowered voice, and the name of the warm winter wind that rolls off the Rockies and a few towns in Alberta and Montana. Start with the person: a dog owner, a fisherman, someone with roots on the plains. Then personalize it. For a dog person, put the dog's name on the second line, or the kennel name, or the year the puppy came home. For an angler, add the river or the season. Because Chinook is a word people rarely see in print, a shirt or mug with it on there gets noticed and prompts the question you're hoping for.
Chinook gift questions
What does Chinook mean?
It has several meanings. It's a sled dog breed developed in New Hampshire, a large Pacific salmon, and a warm, dry winter wind east of the Rockies. Pick the design that fits the person you're buying for.
Can I add my dog's name to a Chinook design?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a name, a year or a kennel name. Type it in and the preview updates before you order.
Is a Chinook shirt a good gift for a fisherman?
It can be. Chinook salmon are a prized catch in the Pacific Northwest, so a tee or mug with Chinook and a favorite river or season on the second line should land with an angler.
Can I make a Chinook shirt for a town or school?
You can type the word and any text you like, but don't expect it to look official. Designs use your own words and aren't tied to any team, school or organization.
What sizes do the chinook shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a chinook gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
