Picking a gift for a classics professor
A classics professor spends a lot of time with dead languages, lecture slides on Thucydides and office hours full of students who are sure Homer was a typo. They tend to wear what's comfortable for long hours in a library carrel or a seminar room with bad radiators, and they'll have a favorite mug they refuse to let anyone else use. A gift that acknowledges the work, without being too precious about it, tends to land best. A tee with the title on the front and a second line for their subject or department gives them something to wear to a conference reception or the first day of term. A hoodie suits the chilly office and the walk across campus. A mug is the one they'll actually reach for every morning before the first class. Add their name, the department, or the year they joined the faculty, and it stops being a generic academic gift and becomes theirs.
Classics Professor gift questions
Can I add the university or department name to the shirt?
Many designs have a second line for a place or group. Type the university or department there and check the preview before you order.
Do you have designs for the whole department?
Yes. The Team Shop lets you choose one design and paste a list of names, with a size for each person, so everyone gets a shirt with their own name.
What's a good gift for a professor retiring or getting tenure?
A mug or hoodie with their title and the year is a personal way to mark the milestone. It's something they'll use long after the ceremony.
Can I add a subject like Latin or Greek?
Yes. Type the subject on a second line, or change the main word to the specific field they teach.
What sizes do the classics professor shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a classics professor gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
