Gifts from Coal Center
Coal Center is a small place, and the people who claim it usually know exactly which road they grew up on and which store closed. That kind of local pride is what a town shirt is for. Someone who grew up in Coal Center, or whose family is still there, tends to wear the name the same way a city kid wears a skyline, as a way of saying where they're from when people ask. Because the town is small, you may be buying for someone who has moved away and misses it, or for someone still there who has never been asked to show it off. Either way, the product does the talking. A tee for weekends, a hoodie for the first cold morning, or a mug for the kitchen table works well, and a second line with a year, a high school class or a street makes the design feel like it belongs to one specific person rather than to a map.
