Picking a gift for a cook apprentice
A cook apprentice is usually up before the sun, learning knife cuts, stock timing and how to survive a Friday dinner rush while still on the clock for their first real kitchen job. They're often tired, a little sore, and proud of every small thing a chef finally lets them do alone. A gift that fits that life is something they can wear to the restaurant or drink from on the walk to the bus stop. You can make it theirs by putting the word cook apprentice on the front and adding their name or the kitchen they work in on the second line. If they're in a culinary program rather than a restaurant, you can mention that in the second line instead. Either way, a shirt or mug with their title on it says you noticed the work they're putting in, and that's the part most people in the kitchen never hear enough.
Cook Apprentice gift questions
Can I add the restaurant name to the shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so type the restaurant or culinary school name there. The preview updates so you can check the spacing before you order.
Is there a design for a culinary student instead of a restaurant apprentice?
Designs are listed under the word cook apprentice, but you can type a different title such as culinary student into the text box on any product to personalize it.
What's a good gift for a cook apprentice who's just starting out?
A dark tee or hoodie with their title is practical for a job that goes through a lot of laundry and cold storage. A mug works well for early mornings.
What sizes do the cook apprentice shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a cook apprentice gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
