Picking a gift for a cota
COTA usually means a certified occupational therapy assistant, someone who carries out treatment plans under the supervision of an occupational therapist. Their days are hands-on: helping patients relearn dressing, eating and writing, adapting home setups, and encouraging people through slow, unglamorous progress. A gift that acknowledges the work lands better than a generic healthcare shirt. Add their credential if they hold one, or write COTA on its own line, and consider the setting they work in, whether that's a hospital, a rehab clinic, a school or a home health team. A soft tee works for the drive to a long shift, a hoodie suits cold clinic hallways, and an 11 oz mug is a good daily reminder that their effort is seen. If you don't know their exact credential, say so and keep the design simple.
Cota gift questions
What does COTA stand for?
COTA usually stands for certified occupational therapy assistant. Their credential may be written differently depending on their state or certifying body, so if you're unsure, check how they list it on their badge or resume before adding it to a design.
Can I add a credential or workplace to the shirt?
Yes. Type it into the second line of the design, such as their name, a credential, or the year they finished their program. The preview updates so you can check the spacing before ordering.
Can I order shirts for my whole therapy team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste each person's name, and pick a size for each. Every shirt prints with its own name.
Is there a good gift for a student COTA?
A hoodie or tee with COTA student and their graduation year works well. It's useful for clinicals and marks the milestone they worked toward.
What sizes do the cota shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a cota gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
