Gifts from Crook
Crook is a small word to build a gift around, and that's worth saying up front. Crook can mean a town or a neighborhood, and it's also an old word for a bend or a curve, so the person you're shopping for may be someone who loves a particular place they grew up near or call home. The gifts that land for someone with a hometown name are the ones that carry their own sense of where they're from. A tee or hoodie with the place name is how they show it on a Saturday errand, and a mug with it becomes the morning reminder of home. If you know the street, the county or the nickname locals use, add it on the second line. That's the detail that turns a plain place name into their place. Think about who else would recognize the name too: a cousin who moved away, a neighbor who knows the same roads.
