Gifts from Damascus
Damascus is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, and people who carry its name often feel that history in everyday ways. A Damascus shirt might go to someone who grew up in the city, a family with roots there, or a friend who's been drawn to its markets, its old quarters and its food. For someone who left, a mug with the city's name is a small daily reminder of where they're from. For someone who has only read about it, it's a way to show interest in a place that appears in so many old stories. A hoodie suits a cool evening, and a kids tee or onesie can start a child's connection to a family's hometown. Add a neighborhood or a year underneath, the way many people do for home places, and the design becomes more personal.
Damascus gift questions
Can I add a neighborhood or a year to a Damascus design?
Many designs have a second line. Type a neighborhood, a family name or a year there and the preview will update so you can check it before ordering.
Do I need to know the city well to choose a gift?
No. Many people buy Damascus gifts for family members who grew up there or for friends with a connection to it. Choosing a simple design and adding a personal detail usually works best.
Are there designs in Arabic script?
