Gifts from Days Creek
Days Creek is a small community in Douglas County, Oregon, and the people who call it home usually know each other by name. A shirt with the town name is the kind of thing a neighbor wears to the county fair, a high school game or a Saturday errand in town, and it reads as a quiet point of pride rather than a tourist souvenir. Small places are also where people leave and come back, so a Days Creek tee or mug can mean a lot to someone who has moved away for work or school. If you don't know the place well, start with the person rather than the history: ask what they like to do there, what they'd want on a mug, and whether they'd rather wear it out or keep it at home. Add a second line with a street, a year they moved in or their family name, and the design becomes about them as much as the town.
