Gifts from De Queen
De Queen is a small city in southwest Arkansas, and the people who call it home tend to stay tied to it, whether they're still there or living somewhere else. A shirt with De Queen on it is a way to represent a hometown that doesn't show up on many souvenir racks. It suits the person who came back after school, the one who runs a business on the square, or the family who has been in town for generations. Small places like this often have a strong sense of who belongs, so a gift that names the town specifically tends to land better than something generic. Add a second line with a year, a high school class, or the name of the street they grew up on, and the piece becomes personal. For someone who moved away, a De Queen mug on the kitchen counter is a quiet reminder of where they started.
