Picking a gift for a department director
A department director is usually the person who keeps several teams moving at once, sitting in the middle of budget meetings, hiring, planning and the constant question of who's doing what by Friday. They rarely get a gift for it, which is exactly why a well-chosen one lands. A mug for the desk that holds the coffee through a long run of calendar blocks, a hoodie for the quiet weekend they finally get to take off, or a tee for the team retreat where they're the one everyone looks to. What makes it theirs is the detail: add their department name on the second line, or the year they took the role. A title alone reads like a badge from the office. Add the name of the team they lead and it becomes something they'd actually put on. If you're buying for the whole leadership group or a department that chipped in together, the Team Shop lets you print one design with each person's name on their own shirt, which makes a better farewell or promotion gift than another card.
Department Director gift questions
Can I add their department or team name to the design?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a department, team or unit. Type it in and the preview updates so you can check the spacing before you order.
Is there a design for a farewell or promotion?
There are no separate farewell or promotion designs, but the title plus a year or department name works well for both. Use the year they started or moved into the role.
Can I order for a whole group of directors at once?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
Which products suit a director best?
The 11oz mug is a favorite for daily use, and a hoodie or tee works well for people who wear casual clothes outside the office. Kids and baby options are available if the title is a family member's.
What sizes do the department director shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a department director gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
