Gifts from Des Plaines
Des Plaines is a suburb northwest of Chicago, and the people who live there tend to have a strong attachment to the place, whether they grew up in town, moved in for the schools, or commute into the city every day. A Des Plaines shirt is a way to claim that local pride without the Chicago cliches. It works on game day, for a family reunion back in the area, or for someone who has moved away and still checks the local news. Because the name is specific, a Des Plaines design tends to get a reaction from people who know the town, which is the kind of gift that starts a conversation. Pick a light tee for summer errands, a hoodie for the cold months near the Des Plaines River, or a mug for the morning commute. Add a second line with a graduation year or a street or neighborhood if you want it to feel personal.
