Picking a gift for a development associate
A development associate usually works at the intersection of fundraising and relationships: a nonprofit, a university, a hospital foundation or an arts organization where the job is to keep donors connected to the mission. Much of the day goes to calls, thank-you notes, donor reports and meetings that start with coffee, so the gifts they tend to keep are the ones that feel like they were picked by someone who understands the work. A tee for weekend errands, a hoodie for the chilly office, or an 11 oz mug for the desk where the phone calls happen. Add the title they use, like Development Associate or Associate Director of Development, and optionally the organization or a year, so it reads as theirs and not as a generic job shirt. Many development teams celebrate the work during National Nonprofit Week in mid-May, which is a good time to order.
Development Associate gift questions
Can I add my colleague's organization or department to the shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for an organization, department or year. Type it in and the preview will show you how it lines up before you order.
Is there a specific day to celebrate development staff?
National Nonprofit Week falls in mid-May each year, and many organizations use it to recognize staff. Order a couple of weeks ahead if you want shirts for a team event.
Can I order one design for a whole development team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: pick one design, paste the list of names, and choose a size for each person. Every shirt prints with its own name.
Do you have designs that fit a longer title, like Senior Development Associate?
Many designs have room for a second line, so a longer title can go there. Check the preview to see how it fits before you finish the order.
What sizes do the development associate shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a development associate gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
