Picking a gift for a development leader
A development leader usually carries a team's roadmap, its deadlines and its frustrations, often while translating between engineers, designers and people who only care about the launch date. The gifts that land are the ones that acknowledge that juggling. A soft tee for the stretch of the week when the sprint board is on fire, a hoodie for the long video calls, a mug for the first coffee before the standup starts. Put their title on it, or the team or product they lead, so the shirt says what they actually do rather than just that they work in tech. A development leader who has shipped a hard release or built a team from a few people into a group that works well together will recognize that you noticed. If you're shopping for a whole team, the Team Shop can print one design with each person's name on their own shirt, which is a nice way to say thanks after a big launch.
Development Leader gift questions
Can I put a job title and a team name on the same shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so type the title in the main text and the team or product name underneath. The preview shows you how the two lines fit before you order.
What if their title is longer than the design allows?
Shorten it to the part they use most, such as Dev Lead or Engineering Lead, and check the preview. Most of the text stays readable at the standard width.
Is there a gift that works for someone who leads remote teams?
A mug or hoodie works well for remote leaders, since they tend to spend long stretches at a desk and on video calls.
What sizes do the development leader shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a development leader gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
