Picking a gift for a development spec
A development spec is the document that turns a vague feature idea into something an engineer can actually build, so the person who writes them tends to be the one who notices the missing edge case at 4 p.m. on a Friday. They live in a chain of tickets, comments and revision history, and they often end up translating between product managers who want a feature and developers who want a precise list of inputs and outputs. A gift that acknowledges that tight, detail-minded work lands well. A tee or hoodie with the words development spec on it speaks to people who spend their days in the weeds and still enjoy a bit of professional pride. For a more personal touch, add their team name, their level or the product they write specs for on the second line. Most of these designs come in dark and light versions and in several sizes, so you can pick the one that suits their closet.
Development Spec gift questions
Can I add a team name or product name under development spec?
Many designs have a second line for a team, product or level. Open the design you like and type it in, and the preview will show you how it looks before you order.
Is there a dark version for a development spec shirt?
Yes. Development spec designs come on light and dark t-shirts, so you can choose based on the color they wear most.
Are there development spec designs for kids or babies?
There are kids t-shirt and baby onesie designs for this word as well, though the choice is smaller than for adult shirts.
What sizes do the development spec shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a development spec gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
