Gifts for Developmental Therapists

Picking a gift for a developmental therapist

Developmental therapists work with infants and toddlers, and sometimes their families, on the early milestones that come before most people even notice them: sitting up, reaching for a toy, making first sounds, learning to move through a day. The work is patient and often happens on the floor, in living rooms and daycare rooms, with a lot of small wins that only the family and the therapist fully see. A gift that acknowledges that quiet, hands-on side of the job tends to land well. A tee or hoodie with their title works for the drive to the next home visit or a weekend of errands. A mug is the right size for the long stretch of paperwork and notes that follows every session. Add a second line for their practice, their agency, or the year they started, and the gift becomes theirs rather than a generic job shirt. If you're buying for a whole early intervention team, the Team Shop can put every name on its own shirt in one order.
