Picking a gift for a director copy
A director is usually the person who holds the whole production together, whether that's a theater company, a film set, a church choir, a dance studio or a corporate team. They spend long days in rehearsal or on location, juggling schedules, actors, budgets and the one prop that keeps going missing. Gifts that land tend to acknowledge that they're always the one giving direction and rarely the one receiving it. A shirt with their title on it, plus the production or organization they lead, gives them something to wear to opening night or the first read-through. A mug with the word director on it suits the early mornings and late calls. For a whole cast or crew, one design with everyone's name on their own shirt makes a better thank-you than a generic card. Think about where they work and what they're known for, and add that second line to make it theirs.
Director Copy gift questions
Can I add the production name or company to a director shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line for a show, company, school or year. Type it in and the preview will update so you can check the spacing.
Is there a day that celebrates directors?
Not one that's widely recognized, so most people give a director a gift at the close of a production or at the end of a season.
Can I order shirts for a whole cast or crew?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the director copy shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a director copy gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
If we print something different from the preview you approved, or it arrives damaged, we reprint it free.
