Picking a gift for a director engineering
A director of engineering usually sits between the people writing the code and the people deciding what gets built, so most days are spent in meetings, reviews, and hiring loops, with a few precious hours left for actual technical work. They carry the team's roadmap, answer for delivery dates, and spend a lot of energy protecting engineers from churn. A gift that acknowledges that balance tends to land well. A shirt they can wear to a weekend project, a hoodie for the late-night incident call, or a mug for the first coffee before the calendar fills up all speak to the job without making a joke of it. Add a second line with their team name, their company's engineering org, or the year they took the role, and the piece becomes specific to the work they've built. Anyone buying for an engineering leader should keep in mind that titles change often, so a design with the role plus a personal detail tends to outlast the job itself.
Director Engineering gift questions
Can I add their company or team name to the design?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can put a team name, a company name, or a year there. Check the preview before you order to make sure the spacing looks right.
Is director engineering a formal title I should spell a certain way?
Titles vary a lot between companies. Use the wording they use on their business card or email signature so the design matches how they describe the role.
What's a good gift for someone who just got promoted to this role?
A mug or hoodie with their new title and the year they started is a simple way to mark the move without making it a big production.
Can I order shirts for everyone on their engineering team?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste a list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the director engineering shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a director engineering gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
