Picking a gift for a director facilities
A facilities director keeps the building running, which mostly means nobody notices them until something breaks. They're the one answering calls about the HVAC at 6 a.m., coordinating contractors, watching budgets and making sure the lights, the roof and the elevators all keep working. Recognition tends to be quiet, so a gift that says plainly what they do can land well. A tee or hoodie with their title on it is a nice way to say you see the work. For the director who lives in a hard hat and a fleece, a hoodie they can wear on a cold site walk is practical. A mug on their desk, with their title printed on it, is a small daily reminder that the job has a name. Add a second line with their department or the building they manage, and the gift becomes specific to their role rather than generic office merch. Facilities teams often celebrate around Facilities Management Day, which falls in late January, so that's a good window if you want to time it.
