Picking a gift for a director location
A location director usually runs the day-to-day of a film or TV shoot somewhere other than a studio lot. They're the person who scouts the house with the right staircase, talks a town into closing a street for a night, and somehow gets a crew of forty out of the rain by dinner. Their days start before sunrise and often end in a van full of cables and cold coffee. What tends to land with someone like that is a gift that acknowledges the work without pretending it's glamorous. A hoodie for the early call times, a mug for the trailer or the hotel room, or a tee for the weekend they finally get to stay home. Put the word director on it, and consider adding location or the name of the production they're proudest of on the second line. It becomes a little story about their career instead of a generic job shirt, which is the detail that tends to get noticed.
Director Location gift questions
Can I add a production title or a city to the shirt?
Yes. Many designs have a second line, so you can type a production name, a city they've shot in, or a year. The live preview shows how it will sit before you order.
Is director location a real job title?
Yes, it's used on film and television sets for the person who finds and manages shooting locations. If you're unsure of their exact title, use the one they put on their own business cards.
What's a good gift for a location director who just finished a big shoot?
A mug or hoodie with the title and the production's name or year. It marks the project and gives them something to keep from it.
Can I order shirts for the whole location department?
Yes. Use the Team Shop: choose one design, paste the list of names, and pick a size for each person. Each shirt prints with its own name.
What sizes do the director location shirts come in?
Adult tees come in S to 3XL. Hoodies, kids tees and onesies list their own sizes on each product page.
How long does a director location gift take to arrive?
Each order is printed after you place it, in 2 to 4 business days, then ships by ground in 3 to 5 business days. The product page shows the delivery window for today's orders.
What if the print has a mistake?
