Picking a gift for a director of software development
A director of software development is usually the person who has to hold a team together while the roadmap keeps shifting. They run sprint reviews, argue about architecture in one meeting and about hiring in the next, and somewhere in there they still have to ship. Most of the time they're on a laptop with three video calls open and a coffee going cold beside them. A gift that acknowledges the job lands best when it's practical and a little bit funny: a hoodie for the freezing conference room, a mug for the standup-before-coffee routine, a tee for the weekend when they finally step away from the keyboard. Add the title exactly as they use it, or a line about the team or the company. It turns a generic tech shirt into something they'd actually wear to the office, and it tells them you know what the role takes.
